After spending the morning in the Everglades I drove to Miami Beach and went to Parrot Jungle Island. It is a fantastic zoo that primarily houses parrots (as the name suggests). As soon as you walk in there are dozens of parrots walking around or sitting on perches. You are able to pet them, take pictures with them, and talk to some of them. It is definitely a place I would return to with kids. The zoo had other animals too but the parrots were the main attraction.
