So Many Flowers

My hope for today was to go check out Legoland. When I went to check out of my motel I saw that there was a flier for Legoland so I picked it up. Lucky for me I did because on the calendar it showed that Legodland is closed on Tuesdays. It’s not like it was going to be a far drive but I definitely would have been disappointed if I had driven there only to find out that I couldn’t go in. So I asked around and decided to go to Flower Fields in Carlsbad, California which is very close to Legoland. What a beautiful place. I have no idea what kinds of flowers I saw (except I know there were roses) but there were rows and rows and rows of gorgeous flowers. It was a beautiful day (the weather in southern California is truly incredible) so I walked around for about an hour looking at flowers before deciding to spend the rest of the day at the beach. I drove for a little, ate lunch, changed into my bathing suit, grabbed my book and towel and hung out on the beach for a few hours. All in all, a very good day.

So did you ever get to go to Legoland?
Unfortunately not. Carlsbad is a nice enough place but I couldn't think of anything to do for another day because I couldn't go Legoland until Thursday. I guess that will have to wait until my next cross country trip.
