My Vegas Experience Is Now Complete
Day #77
Today the only thing I was concerned with was making sure we had a good place to watch the first game of the 2005-2006 baseball season. This was particularly important because it was a Yankees/Red Sox game...a game I would have been at if I was not seeing the sights. We decided to watch the game at the sports bar in the Excalibur (the hotel we were staying at). The atmosphere was incredible. There were 3 big screen tv's. On one they were showing the baseball game, on another they were showing an NBA game and on the third they were showing an NCAA women's Final Four game. It was heaven. Jen and I found some Red Sox fans to sit near (actually they were the only ones not smoking). By the end of the 5th inning we had made friends with the group of 8 or Red Sox fans from North Carolina. By the end of the 7th inning I had been proposed to. Apparently Brian found it fascinating that I was not only a die-hard Yankee fan but a fairly knowledgable sports fan. Of course I had to say no to his proposal...I mean he's a Red Sox fan.
